Maiden resource announced for Irvine Island, WA.

Pluton Resources Ltd. is pleased to announce that Phase I drilling on Irvine Island (Western Australia) in 2008 intersected mineralisation grading > 60% iron (Fe). This has allowed Snowden Mining Industry Consultants to be able to extrapolate an initial Inferred Mineral resource of 13Mt at 54.4% iron (Fe).

Said Managing Director Mr Tony Schoer, "This initial resource is small but is limited only by the extent of the current drilling. Mineralisation continues outside of the current resource envelope, with Phase II drilling planned to target a further 60 to 100Mt".

"We are also looking at concentrating or 'beneficiating' some of the lower grade mineralisation from around the current DSO (direct shipping ore) resource. Simple laboratory testing of this material may add a further 15 to 20Mt without any further drilling".

"Beneficiation can be a fairly simple process, especially where assays show low concentrations of phosphorous, alumina and sulphur, such as at Irvine. On Irvine, silica is the main impurity".
